Our mission is to give our guests a beautiful home with luxury and comfort. We want you to think of Chateau Badeaux when you think of Big Bear Lake and return enjoying the winter, spring, summer and fall months. This is truly a house for all seasons
In 2004, we choice to build our custom log home in Big Bear Lake area because we enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and mountain biking and water sports. Here we can do them all! Big Bear is two and a half hours away from San Diego or Los Angeles, but in another world! The village is comfortable and charming with a real small-town atmosphere. The locals are welcoming; there are restaurants, shops, art galleries and many things to do without feeling crowded or rushed. We chose our location in the upper Moonridge area overlooking Bear Mountain and Snow Summit not only for the views but because its minutes from Big Bear Lake and the ski slopes. The views are fantastic of the slopes and surrounding mountains. The wind through the pines is a great sound that tells us that we are in our mountain home. This is a perfect home for a romantic retreat or a family get together, with plenty to do. Playing pool, board games or Xbox, enjoying a book or conversation near the cozy fireplace, or just watching the wildlife feed off the trees. Enjoy a relaxing outdoor spa with a mountain backdrop. The outdoor table, chairs and umbrella seat eight. Light up the gas BBQ for an out door dinner with the sunset as your backdrop, great after a day of skiing or hiking, or doing absolutely nothing.
Because my husband and I like to cook the kitchen comes equipped with everything from spices to gourmet appliances, like a Cuisinart food processor, blender, coffee bean grinder, trash compactor, double ovens, just to name a few. This is the perfect kitchen to create that perfect meal. Observers watching the cook can sit on the bar stools, and later all move to the formal dinning table that seats eights to enjoy that great meal. . For Thanksgiving and Christmas, we will even provide your family with the choice of a turkey or ham.
The living room has a wood burning fireplace, wide screen TV, DVD, CD, wireless Hi speed DSL access, cable TV, Xbox, IPod docking station, and pool table, all this with spectacular views. A telescope is also available for your use, so on clear evenings you can see the moon and night sky full of stars. In the winter, you can watch the skiers and snowboarders race down the slopes. In addition to the incredible views, you also have an ambulance of wild life that feed from the food we provide. This way you can enjoy the wildlife year round, while you sit on the deck or in the comfort of the great room, in front of a blazing fire.
The Master King Bedroom with down comforters has a private bath, which includes a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower; and two sinks. Terry cloth robes are also available for your convenience. Two queen bedded rooms also share a large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, two sinks and separate shower. Television and DVD players in all the bedrooms, including access to lower balcony and views of the mountains. There is also a Laundry room with a washer and dryer, and we provide the detergent, as well as all linens and towels, shampoo and soaps. We also provide baby gates.
With each booking, we provide a gift basket with your choice of red wine, white wine or sparkling cider, coffee beans, (coffee grinder available) candy, hot chocolate and popcorn for the kids as well.
